Satoru Nakamura (仲村 覚, born in 1964) is a Japanese journalist and the president of the Okinawa Policy Research Forum [ja].
He also serves as a director of the Free Press Association, an organization dedicated to protecting the public's right to know.
Born in Naha City, Okinawa, in 1964, during the U.S. administration of the region, Nakamura entered the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Youth Technical School [ja] in 1979.
He retired from the military in 1991, worked for several companies, and in 2009, established the private organization "Okinawa Strategy Headquarters".
