Scandosorbus

Scandosorbus is a genus of flowering plants in the rose family, Rosaceae.

It includes two species of trees native to northern Europe.

S. intermedia was derived from an ancient hybridization among Aria, Sorbus, and Torminalis.

[2] The genus was proposed to replace Borkhausenia Sennikov & Kurtto (2017), which is an illegitimate near-homonym.

Borkhausenia was intended to describe all species from hybridization among Aria, Sorbus, and Torminalis.
