Semaprochilodus insignis

The kissing prochilodus or flag-tailed prochilodus (Semaprochilodus insignis) is a species of South American freshwater fish in the family Prochilodontidae.

It is native to central and western parts of the Amazon basin.

[2][3] It is important in fisheries[3] and sometimes seen in the aquarium trade, but require a relatively large tank.

[2] It can reach a maximum standard length of 27.5 cm (10.8 in) and weight of 560 g (1.23 lb).
