Senija is a village in the province of Alicante and autonomous community of Valencia, Spain.
The municipality covers an area of 4.8 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi) and as of 2011 had a population of 661 people.
Senija's economy is based on agriculture - citrus fruits, carob trees, almonds, and most importantly, vineyards that produce the famous raisins dried in the sun of La Marina County [ca] that have brought the town wealth.
The proximity to the coast has allowed the arrival of tourists, who come to Senija to eat at the restaurants there.
