Serian Division

This has prompted the Serian District Council to erect a giant monument to this "king of fruits" right in the middle of the market square.

Other attraction points of Serian are Gua Tiab Bilanting which is situated at Kampung Pichin and also Bukit Parang which is located at the Sarawak-Kalimantan border.

Ranchan Waterfall is the most famous one, located at about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Serian town and is accessible easily by road.

Tebedu (which renamed Bandar Mutiara recently), located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) away from Serian town on the Indonesia-Malaysia border, is one of only three official land border crossings between Indonesia and Malaysia.

Stores and shops are packed by mainly Bidayuh people returning home from abroad or major towns on Gawai and Christmas holidays.
