In 2020, GreatSchools gave Severna Park High School a 10/10 score in terms of racial equity and said that the school is successfully closing the academic achievement gap between white students and disenfranchised ethnic minority students.

However, the school has notable equity issues when it comes to low-income students’ scores and performance.
