Shad-darshana Darpana (IAST: Ṣaḍ-darśana-darpaṇa, English titles: Mirror of the Six Schools and A Rational Refutation of the Hindu Philosophical Systems) is an 1860 Hindi-language book written in Varanasi by Nehemiah Goreh, a Hindu convert to Christianity.
The author Nehemiah Goreh, originally known as Nilakantha Gore, was a Hindu convert to Christianity.
Although its aim was to prove the superiority of Christianity over Hinduism, its English translation also served as the best introduction to the Hindu philosophy for English speakers for several decades,[2] until Max Müller's Six Systems of Hindu Philosophy (1899).
Katre prepared a critical edition of Goreh's earlier work Śāstra-tattva-vinirṇaya, intending to counteract the arguments outlined in the Shad-darshana-darpana.
He describes the Hindu views on sin, the human condition, and salvation as irrational.
