Dame Shan Elizabeth Morgan DCMG (born 12 March 1955) is a former British civil servant.
Morgan studied French Literature and Language at the University of Kent, gaining a BA in 1977.
In 1994 at the Department for Education and Employment, she was the UK's delegate to the International Labour Organization's governing body.
[citation needed] It was announced that Morgan would become the Ambassador to Argentina on 5 September 2008, and she took up the post in October 2008.
Her time in office coincided with sabre-rattling by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who described the British as "an occupying colonial force in the Falkland Islands" in October 2010, when she complained to the UN about "militarisation of the South Atlantic".
