Sheikh Muhammad Monirul Islam is a retired major general of the Bangladesh Army and chief external & corporate affairs officer of bKash Limited.

[2] He served as an instructor in Bangladesh Military Academy, Bhatiary and Defence Services Command & Staff College.

In the rank of brigadier general, he was posted to Ministry of Foreign Affairs on deputation as the chief of protocol of Bangladesh.

Monir has a Masters of Defence Studies from National University of Bangladesh, and a Master of Science on Defence and Strategic Studies from Madras University, Chennai, India.

[4] After retiring from the Bangladesh Army, he joined bKash as the Chief External & Corporate Affairs Officer in 2014.
