Simon Wiles

[3] In July 2008, Wiles had a trial at League Two club Morecambe, playing in two pre-season games,[4] with manager Sammy McIlroy trying to arrange a deal with Blackpool.

In August 2008 he moved to Scottish First Division side Dunfermline Athletic on a one-year contract but was later to suffer a serious knee injury which sidelined him for the rest of the season.

[6] He later signed a contract in July 2010 after a successful pre-season campaign but suffered another serious knee injury in a match against Altrincham on 21 September 2010 which put him out of action for the rest of the 2010–11 season.

Wiles signed for Chorley in 2013 after a successful trial and played a part in the club winning the Northern League Premier Division title.

[7] He made his club debut in the opening league match of the season on 16 August as Salford beat Scarborough 4–1.
