Sindh Education and Literacy Department

The Education and Literacy Department is a key division of the Government of Sindh, Pakistan, responsible for overseeing the provincial's education system.

Its primary role is to manage educational affairs within Sindh and coordinate with the Federal Government and donor agencies to promote education.

[11] The Education & Literacy Department initiated distribution of stipends to female students in rural area to increase literacy rate, under the Sindh Structural Adjustment Credit a program of World Bank.

[15] The Sindh Education Foundation is an autonomous body to encourage and promote education in the private sector operating on non-profit basis.
