Sinners is an upcoming American period supernatural horror film written, directed, and produced by Ryan Coogler.

Coogler began developing the genre film through his production company Proximity Media by January 2024, when Jordan was cast.

[2] Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers Smoke and Stack (Michael B. Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

[3] In January 2024, an untitled period film (rumored to take place in the Jim Crow-era South and involve the undead) from writer, director, and producer Ryan Coogler was reported to be in development through his production company Proximity Media, with longtime collaborator Michael B. Jordan cast in the lead role.

[7] Principal photography began in New Orleans on April 13, 2024, under the working title Grilled Cheese, with Autumn Durald Arkapaw as cinematographer, and wrapped on July 17.
