Sipho Mbatha

Moses Sipho Mbatha is a South African politician and a former Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party.

[1] He was sworn in during the first sitting of the new National Assembly along with all the other newly elected Members of Parliament on 21 May 2014.

[2] Following former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe's swearing-in in as a Member of Parliament in February 2017, Mbatha said: "On a point of order Speaker.

"[3] In October 2017, the Diamond Fields Advertiser reported that the Central Command Team of the EFF had instructed Mbatha and fellow EFF MP Mmabatho Mokause to resign from their seats in the National Assembly immediately.

Mbatha later resigned from the EFF and was welcomed into the United Democratic Movement in August 2018.
