Sokolnice (German: Sokolnitz) is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The Dunávka Stream flows through the western part of the municipality and supplies Balaton Pond.
Until the end of the 15th century, the village was owned by the monastery in Třebíč and passed on to various lesser nobles.
The village was badly damaged during the Thirty Years' War.
[2] The municipality is served by the Sokolnice-Telnice train station, located on the railway line heading from Křenovice to Skalice nad Svitavou via Brno.
