This temple is located with the coordinates of (12°56′42″N 80°02′17″E / 12.945135°N 80.038025°E / 12.945135; 80.038025) at Somangalam in Kanchipuram district.
The main deity in this temple is Somanatheeswarar and goddess is Meenakshi amman.
[1] The sanctum sanctorum of this temple is in Gajaprishtam shape which means it appears as the back of an elephant in sleeping posture.
