Albert Lee "Sonny" Davis (born January 16, 1948) is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL).
Davis was the first athlete to compete in integrated sports in Blount County, Tennessee and was named All-County, All-State and All-American as a junior and senior.
[2] Davis played four seasons for the Tigers and led the team with six touchdowns scored as a sophomore.
[3] Davis was selected in the 11th round of the 1971 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
[5] Davis played for The Hawaiians of the World Football League from 1974 to 1975.
