South Canaan is a second-class township in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States.

The township's population was 1,768 at the time of the 2010 United States Census.

There were 762 housing units at an average density of 27.7 per square mile (10.7/km2).

The racial makeup of the township was 96.9% White, 0.5% Black, 0.2% American Indian, 1.1% Asian, and 1.3% from two or more races.
