Sovetsky District (Russian: Сове́тский райо́н; Meadow Mari: У Роҥго кундем, U Roŋgo kundem) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the fourteen in the Mari El Republic, Russia.

The area of the district is 1,421 square kilometers (549 sq mi).
