Sphaerophoria bifurcata, the symmetric globetail, is a species of syrphid fly in the family Syrphidae.

Tergites 2-4 have narrow yellow bands usually entire or narrowly divided.

ThesSurstylus has the dorsal lobe depressed, with long hairs along ventral margin.
