Spintharus rallorum is a species of comb-footed spider in the family Theridiidae.
[1] The specific name was first published by B. Chomitz and I. Agnarsson in 2018 using the spelling ralli.
The original publication explained that the name honours the "grandparents of the first author of the species.
31.1.2 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) says that the name is to be formed using the Latin genitive plural ending -orum.
