The cathedral also functions as the seat of the Archdiocese of Feira de Santana (Archidioecesis Fori S. Annae), which was created in 1962 through the bull "Novae Ecclesiae" by Pope John XXIII.
It is also the seat of the homonymous parish, which is located specifically in the Góes Calmon street, Centro district, in the Monsenhor Renato de Andrade Galvão Square.

The St. Ann Cathedral has three central arched portals with three choir windows of a similar design above.
