St. George's Grammar School (Hyderabad)

It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

The school was established in 1834, named Hyderabad Residency School, to cater for the educational needs of the children of the British community serving the government in Hyderabad.

In 1865 a separate girls' school was established, the first in Hyderabad.

[3] In 1918, the management of the school was handed to the Australian Christian Mission Seminary.

After Indian independence in 1947, the school was handed to the Church of South India.
