Steven Ma (API Commissioner)

[1] In early 2020, ThinkTank Learning ceased operations due to the global pandemic (COVID-19), and in April 2020, it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

In 2012 he was appointed by ASM Speaker John Perez to the California Commission on Asian & Pacific Islander American Affairs.

Steven Ma has been recognized for by the California State Legislature and the Cities of Sunnyvale, Saratoga, San Jose, Cupertino.

[4] He was the 2013 “Partner of the Year”’ from the SF Hep B Free Coalition[11] and was honored by the Chinese American Voter Education Committee for his work with youth in 2014[12] In 2015, he was recognized at the Oakland Military Institute (OMI) by students, faculty, and staff for ThinkTank Learning’s efforts to raise the students’ SAT scores.

Ma received "Partner of the Year" from the SF Hep B Free Coalition for his innovative public/private partnership efforts); and supports the New Hope Foundation China: caring for abandoned babies who are at-risk or require special medical treatment.
