The striated thornbill (Acanthiza lineata) is a species of bird in the family Acanthizidae.
It is endemic to Australia, where its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests.
[7] The adult striated thornbill is 9–10 centimetres (3.5–3.9 in) long and weighs around 7 grams (0.25 oz).
[7] The brown thornbill (A. pusilla) is similar but lacks the white-streaked orange-brown cap and lives in shrubs.
[8] The striated thornbill is predominantly insectivorous, generally forages in the canopy of eucalypt trees, gleaning leaves for prey.
