Sturgeon River (Lake Nipissing)

[2] The town of Sturgeon Falls is located on the river about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of its mouth.

[5] Ontario Power Generation operates a hydroelectric plant on the river at Crystal Falls.

In 1979 the area around the community of Field experienced a disastrous flood that prompted all residential homes to be relocated.

This park consists of 79.85 square kilometres (30.83 sq mi) of protected wilderness stretched out along the river banks without any visitors facilities present.
