Sunil Krishna Dey Chowdhury

Sunil Krishna Dey Chowdhury (Bengali: সুনীল কৃষ্ণ দে চৌধুরী; born 31 May 1948) is a former Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker.

Subsequently, Sunil took up a job at the Water and Power Development Authority in East Pakistan, where he spent the remainder of his career playing for both Dhaka and Chittagong-based WAPDA Sports Club.

[1] At the peak of his career, he rejected an offer to join Mohammedan SC as he was an employee of the parent corporation, WAPDA.

[2] In 1973, Sunil was selected by coach Sheikh Shaheb Ali for the first Bangladesh national football team.

[3][4] He traveled with the team to participate in Malaysia's 1973 Merdeka Tournament, during which he assisted Bangladesh's first international goal, scored by Enayetur Rahman Khan, during the country's inaugural game against Thailand.
