The Swinburne Baronetcy, of Capheaton in the county of Northumberland, was a title in the Baronetage of England.
He demolished Capheaton Castle in 1668 and built a new house on the site.
The sixth baronet was member of parliament for Launceston in 1788-9 and high sheriff of Northumberland in 1799.
His grandson, the seventh baronet, was high sheriff in 1866 and member of parliament for Lichfield 1885–1892.
Charles Henry Swinburne,[2] younger son of the sixth baronet, was an admiral in the Royal Navy.
