Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio

The township was incorporated by an act of the General Assembly on January 19, 1822.

In 1853, the Little Miami Railroad was completed, connecting the township to Cincinnati.

Located in the northeastern corner of the county, the township has been cut into two "islands" due to annexations by surrounding cities.

18.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% were someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

[3] The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.

The township is also served by a branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.
