Tamworth central business district, New South Wales

The Tamworth Central Business District is a suburb of Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia, in the city centre and is located north of the Peel River.

The Tamworth Regional Council has its headquarters in Peel St at Ray Walsh House.

[1] Bicentennial Park and number one cricket oval are also located in the suburb.

Named after former British Prime Minister Robert Peel, it was refurbished in the 1990s as part of the city's urban and streetscape renewal.

These include a large Target department store (formerly Grace Bros), ANZ, Commonwealth, Westpac and St George banks.
