Tarashany

Tarashany (Ukrainian: Тарашани; Romanian: Tărășeni or Tătărășeni) is a village in Chernivtsi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine.

[1] Until 18 July 2020, Tarashany belonged to Hlyboka Raion.

The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three.

[4] In 1989, out of 914 inhabitants, 58 (6.35%) were Moldovans, 66 (7.22%) were Romanians, and a large majority were Ukrainians.
