Tasburgh House Hotel

[1][2] Tasburgh House was built in 1891 by photographer John Berryman.

Although Bath was being built exclusively of honey-coloured Bath Stone, Berryman's influential position (Royal Family's official photographer) gave him permission to build the house with red brick.

The house still stands in its original form and the exterior has not changed significantly.

During this time, it received extensive investment and refurbishment, including the addition of three guest bedrooms and multi-level terracing at the rear of the property.

The building then operated as a 15 bedroom boutique hotel with a bar (residents only), with Grant Atkinson as general manager.
