It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Bangkok United of the Thai Premier League.

'B M A' (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration) is picked out in white seats (The BMA owns the stadium).

The rest of the stadium is a continuous ring with seats fitted throughout (unusual in Thailand).

Unusually for a Thai stadium there is a perimeter fence on three sides separating the stands from the pitch.

Most recently the stadium hosted the 2018 Youth Olympic Games Asian Area Qualification trials in early July.
