Nearly two years after Universal Blues the band released their second studio album (first under Capitol Records), titled De Nova on June 21, 2005.

[3] Session musician Duane Leinan joined the band in 2010 playing bass guitar supporting the tour and in the studio.
On January 25, 2024, Justin Baren, a member of The Redwalls, hinted at the band's potential return in a post on their official Instagram page.
The album features a mix of never-before-heard tracks recorded in the 2010s by Justin and Logan Baren in Liverpool, England, with UK rockers The Zutons as their backing band, along with a set of brand-new songs, blending the best of both past and present Redwalls material.
