[6] Timber Lake was founded in 1910 with the arrival of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad into the area.
On April 21, 1946, a large tornado struck the area in and around Timber Lake.
However, this is outside the period of reliable documentation accepted by the National Weather Service; 1950–present.
