Tiszabecs is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary.
It enters the territory of Hungary on the administrative border of the Tisza (at 744.5 km).
The name of the village appears in 1181 during the border crossing of the estates of the company monastery.
Because it was located in an important place, the rulers insisted on it for a long time, so it was not donated to the Becsky family until 1368.
As the first event of Rákóczi's Transylvanian campaign, on 14 July 1703, his armies crossed the Tisza.
