Tombstone Mountain (Yukon)

[2] Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 1,090 metres (3,576 feet) above the Tombstone River in less than two kilometres (1.2 mile).

[4] Based on the Köppen climate classification, Tombstone Mountain is located in a subarctic climate zone with long, cold, winters, and short, mild summers.

[6] Winter temperatures can drop below −40 °C with wind chill factors below −50 °C.

[7] The mountain's name refers to a resemblance to a grave marker.

The toponym was officially adopted on March 30, 1981, by the Geographical Names Board of Canada.
