Anthony Degrate (born April 25, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for a single season in 1985.
He played college football for the Texas Longhorns, earning consensus All-American honors in 1984.
He received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he played for coach Fred Akers' Texas Longhorns football team from 1981 to 1984.
[3] As a senior team captain in 1984, he led the team in tackles and quarterback sacks, was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American, and won the Lombardi Award honoring the best lineman in college football.
