His early years were spent in Ottawa, Ontario where he began skateboarding at age 12.
As a professional skateboarder, tastemaker and footwear designer, Tony Ferguson brings 20 plus years of professional relationships to the table, along with a unique market insight that stems from two decades of hands-on experience in the footwear industry.
Ferguson along with a handful of other professional skaters as well as cinematographer Spike Jonze helped start the highly influential Girl Skateboard company in 1993.
Always interested in all aspects of modern culture, Tony retired from professional skateboarding and moved successfully into footwear in 2006, acquiring the global footwear license for New York streetwear pioneers Alife.
From there he would go on to work on projects with brands like Adidas, Timberland, Reebok and personalities including Drake, Nas and Kanye West.
