Topolšica

Topolšica (pronounced [tɔˈpoːu̯ʃitsa] or [tɔˈpoːlʃitsa]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Šoštanj in northern Slovenia.

The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region.

At the end of the Second World War after the German Instrument of Surrender, General Löhr signed the act of surrender on 9 May 1945 in the spa building in the settlement.

[3] The local church is dedicated to Saint James (Slovene: sveti Jakob) and belongs to the Parish of Šoštanj.
