Travis Vaughn Tidwell (February 5, 1929 – July 1, 2004) was an American football player and coach.
[2] Tidwell led Auburn in defeating Alabama in 1949.
Zipp Newman wrote "There has never been a sweeter Auburn victory in all the 58 years of football on the Plains than the Tigers 14–13 win over Alabama."
Tidwell stood 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighed 185 pounds (84 kg).
