Troutman is a town in Iredell County, North Carolina, United States.

The town is located roughly 35 miles (56 km) north of Charlotte.

Approved residential developments, when completed, are forecast to increase town population to more than 11,000 residents.

Interstate 77 passes 3 miles (5 km) east of the town, with access from Exit 42.
