Maulik and his research group have contributed towards the development of science and engineering especially in the areas of AI in health care,[12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] Bioinformatics,[20][21][22][23][24][25][26] intelligent transport system,[27][28] supervised and unsupervised machine learning,[29][30][31][32][33][34] and social and biological networks.
His research interests include data science, machine learning, bioinformatics, and the Internet of things.
