Unai Hualde

Unai Hualde Iglesias (born 25 July 1976) is a Navarrese politician from the Basque National Party and a leading member of the coalition Geroa Bai.

Before entering politics he worked in the private sector as legal counselor in the area of Public and Administrative Law.

Hualde continued as town councilor until 2016, when he resigned in order to focus on his work as Member of the Parliament of Navarre.

[12] He stood on fourth place of the Geroa Bai list for the 2015 Navarrese regional election.

On 17 June 2015 he was elected First Vice-president of the Parliament by 26 votes from Geroa Bai, EH Bildu, Podemos and Izquierda-Ezkerra.

[17] On 16 June 2023 he was re-elected as President of the Parliament of Navarre in the first round of voting, supported by Geroa Bai, PSN, EH Bildu and Contigo-Zurekin.

[19] In January 2016 he was named the leader of the Basque National Party in Navarre, as more than 90% of members supported him.
