University Square (Madison)

[1][2] The planning for the University Square Project was started in 1999 by Greg Rice, owner of Executive Management, Inc. Greg chose Potter Lawson, Inc., in 1999 as the architect for the project.

After years of planning, construction began on June 2, 2006, and was completed in August, 2008.

[4][better source needed] The USquare Food Court previously occupied a large portion of the 2nd floor of University Square[5] and held the National Food Court Eating Championship and the Wisconsin Collegiate Eating Championship.

[7] A Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant moved from its State Street location into University Square and opened on August 15, 2011.

[8] The former food court is now occupied by UpperHouse, a Christian gathering space.
