The campus consists of six connected buildings which have Latin names: Terra, Astra, Mare, Nova, Silva and Vita.
The University's Academic Library is located a short walk from the main campus.
It was established as the Central Library for the Estonian Academy of Sciences in 1946; it became a part of the university in 2003.
The university was ranked among the top 15 institutions in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia by the percentage of international faculty.
