Ust-Borovaya Saltworks

It is unique since all of its buildings, with the exception of the ground floor of the administration office, are made of wood.

[1] The ensemble of the saltworks is designated as cultural heritage monument protected at the federal level.

By the second half of the 19th century, the salt wells in the city center were exhausted, and local merchant Alexander Ryazantsev[3] started exploration in Ust-Borovaya, on the left bank of the Kama River north of Solikamsk.

From the depot, solution was taken to dedicated buildings where water was evaporated.

[4] The saltworks preserve the following buildings, each of which is protected separately as a historical monument:[2]
