Utah's 2nd congressional district

Utah's 2nd congressional district currently serves Salt Lake City and the largely rural western and southern portions of Utah, including Saint George and Tooele.

The district is currently represented by Republican Celeste Maloy, who was elected to the seat after she defeated Democrat Kathleen Riebe in the November 21, 2023 special election, caused by the resignation of incumbent Chris Stewart (R) on September 15, 2023.

With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+11, it is the least Republican district in Utah, a state with an all-Republican congressional delegation.

Until 1913, Utah only elected from the former at-large district.

Howell was elected to the first at-large seat, while Johnson was elected to the second at-large seat.
