Vérargues

Vérargues (French pronunciation: [veʁaʁɡ]; Provençal: Verargas) is a former commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region in southern France.

On 28 June 2019, during the 2019 European heat wave, a temperature of 46.0 °C (114.8 °F) was recorded in Vérargues, the highest in French meteorological history.
