Veliki Koren

Veliki Koren (pronounced [ˈʋeːliki ˈkoːɾɛn]; German: Großwurzen[2]) is an uninhabited settlement in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia.

The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola.

It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.

By 1971 only two houses remained in the village, and these were already slated for demolition because of the gradual expansion of a mine for diatomaceous earth.
