Version One Ventures is a Vancouver-based, early-stage venture capital firm founded by Boris Wertz[1] and run by him and his investing partner Angela Tran.

[3][5] Up to this point, Version One Ventures has made investments in many companies [6] including Figure 1, Mattermark,[7] Wattpad, Uniswap, AngelList, Indochino, Volley[8] and others.

[4] Boris Wertz started as an entrepreneur in 1999 founding the German company Just Books.

He has now been an investor for approximately seven years,[12] and was a board partner for the firm Andreessen Horowitz[1] based in Silicon Valley.
